Our Story
Under the starry skies of Mount Rinjani's lakes, two hiking buddies shared a vision that would become the foundation of our journey. Inspired by nature's majesty and the power of movement, we set out to create a space where people could reconnect with their bodies and find balance in life. Our story began with a dream, and today we're dedicated to helping others achieve wellness and vitality through our passion for Pilates and Physiotherapy. We believe in creating a nurturing environment that invites individuals to slow down, pause, and reconnect with their bodies. In today's fast-paced world, it's easy to get caught up in the hustle and bustle, neglecting our physical and mental well-being. As a result, subtle imbalances and stressors can accumulate over time, leading to dysfunctions that manifest in various ways – from nagging aches and pains to more debilitating issues. The quest for quick fixes often overshadows the need for lasting solutions, providing temporary relief but failing to address the underlying causes. As dedicated movement professionals, we're passionate about digging deeper to uncover the root causes of discomfort and dysfunction. Our approach focuses on providing sustainable relief by addressing the underlying issues, rather than just masking the symptoms. At Pause Studio, we're committed to helping you find your ground, cultivate awareness, and move with greater ease and freedom. By taking a pause, you'll discover a more profound connection to your body and a more lasting sense of well-being.

Principal Physiotherapist
Vanessa Wong
With extensive experience as a musculoskeletal physiotherapist, Vanessa has refined her approach to incorporate a diverse range of manual therapy techniques, embracing a holistic understanding of health.
Her philosophy centers on treating the body as an interconnected unit, recognizing that localized symptoms often stem from underlying causes. By combining traditional physiotherapy methods, such as soft tissue therapy, joint manipulation, and electrotherapy, with specialized techniques like dry needling, visceral manipulation and structural integration (Rolfing), Vanessa adopts a comprehensive approach to address the root causes of discomfort and promote long-term relief.
In rehabilitation, Vanessa prioritizes the intricate relationship between the body's structure and function, acknowledging the profound impact of proper alignment and movement on overall well-being. Furthermore, she places significant emphasis on the role of breathing in influencing bodily function. This nuanced approach allows Vanessa to tailor her to each individual's unique needs, fostering a deeper understanding of the body's intricate systems and promoting optimal health and function.
At Pause Studio, Vanessa's expertise and commitment to holistic care provides a supportive environment for clients to achieve lasting relief and improved physical well-being.
